2023 DI Softball Preseason Rankings are Here!

The time has come… the preseason rankings for the 2023 season have arrived.

You may be wondering why you keep hearing about a university having more than one ranking. That is because there are four different entities that come out with rankings based on their own research and ranking system. The four most widely-known polls are conducted by: NFCA/USA Today, Softball America, ESPN.com/USA Softball, and D1Softball.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association / USA Today poll is voted on by a panel of 32 Division I softball coaches. These are their top 25 pre-season rankings:

5-     Florida State

6-     Texas

7-     Arkansas

8-     Northwestern

9-     Alabama

10-  Clemson

11-  Virginia Tech

12-  Arizona

13-  Tennessee

17-  Stanford

18-  UCF

19-  Oregon State

20-  Kentucky

21-  Auburn

22-  Arizona State

23-  Mississippi State

24-  Oregon

25-  LSU
